Explosion proof Inline Viscosity And Density Meter

Designed for hazardous areas, this product complies with ATEX II1G and IECEx Zone 0 standards and measures the density and viscosity of liquids in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Within a MEMS system, the liquid is directed to an omega-shaped microchannel, the so-called omega chip. This extremely thin silicon tube, which is only as thick as a human hair, is measured by vibration. The density of a liquid can be estimated from the natural frequency of vibration: the denser the medium, the lower the vibration frequency.
Thanks to the MEMS system, the sensor measures only 37 x 83 x 18.2 mm³ and can be installed even in confined spaces. Its high-precision measurement results are available in real-time, supporting continuous measurement in the process. To compensate for the fact that the density of the liquid changes with temperature, a platinum resistor is integrated into the sensor to detect the temperature of the liquid.
